Q4 Launches Convenience Market Advantage with Loyalty Partner Outsite Networks

This is an exciting opportunity for major brands like Coca Cola, Frito Lay, and Miller Brewing, to dominate their category in over 1,200 convenience retail stores. By combining the strategic forces of Q4's 1-to-1 marketing and the Outsite Networks loyalty platform, major brands now have the ability to move large audiences by communicating with consumers 1-to-1 at over 10 million transactions each month.

"What makes this really remarkable is that the same tested and proven strategies we used for the Irving 4you! loyalty program can now be implemented at c-stores all across the US, including over 500 independently owned sites." says Tom Magadieu, President of Q4, "It's easier and more effective for major brands to market through this program because of the 1-to-1 marketing capabilities - and because we coordinate it across all the participating sites for them. The Convenience Market Advantage program makes use of Outsite Networks ability to collect consumer transactional and demographic data and use it to present consumers relevant offers right as they are planning their next purchase. Consumers use an RFID key tag to collect points when pumping gas and purchasing in store. That data is collected and attributed to the individual consumer. Each gas pump and most registers in the program have audio units that play short strings of mp3 messages. Offers can also be delivered through the system onto printed rewards receipts.

"With this capability we can select and apply the best offers and communications for each segment. Promotional costs for major brands actually go down. Increases can be as high as 50%" says Magadieu.

Outsite Networks recently concluded a series of head-to-head tests, including one for Bailey's cigarettes. A one month promotion in 25 stores yielded a 110% sales increase and a sustained increase of 50%.

According to Magadieu, this program will not be limited to food and beverage brands. It will serve as a new targeted channel for major auto insurance providers, automobile manufacturers, restaraunt chains, and financial services providers.

"If I am selling a hybrid vehicle, I would want to talk with consumers right as they are pumping gas and watching in panic as the numbers on the pump screen climb. That's the power of this program. 'Save money on auto insurance' - when better to deliver the message?" asks Magadieu.
